Role

 

The role of the senior accountant would be to perform accounting and tax compliance services for the firm’s clientele within a professional environment.  Our goal is to deliver quality work in a timely manner and the successful candidate will assist in achieving our goal including identifying areas of improvement and value-added recommendations.

 

Main Functions

 

Responsibility for compilation engagements, including:

·       Planning and preparation of files

·       Preparation of financial statements

·       Preparation of corporate income tax returns

Assistance on audit and review engagements

Accounting for corporate-owned investments

Preparation of personal income tax returns

Follow-up on notices of assessment

Regular contact with our clients (phone, emails, in person)

Assistance to clients with important month-end and year-end tasks and with functionalities of their accounting software

Assistance to clients with sales tax and payroll matters

Filling-out tax forms (ex: T4, T5, GST/QST, payroll)

Contact with tax authorities on behalf of our clients
